Equipment

  • Equipment Needed: Cocktail shaker, strainer, glass, muddler (optional)

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • For the Cocktail:
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries plus extra for garnish
  • 2 oz vodka substitute with gin for a different flavor
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup 1:1 sugar to water
  • 4 oz club soda or sparkling water
  • For the Simple Syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Method
  • Step 1: Make the Simple Syrup
  • Combine Sugar and Water: In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Cool Down: Remove from heat and let it cool. Store any leftover syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to a month.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Cocktail
  • Muddle Raspberries: In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh raspberries. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently crush the raspberries to release their juices.
  • Add Ingredients: Pour in the vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup into the shaker.
  • Shake It Up: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
  • Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice. Top it off with club soda, giving it a gentle stir to combine.
  • Garnish: Add a few fresh raspberries on top for garnish.
  • Step 3: Enjoy!
  • Take a sip of your Raspberry Fizz, and enjoy the refreshing burst of flavor!
  • Variations
  • Non-Alcoholic Version: Omit the vodka and replace it with more club soda or lemonade for a refreshing mocktail.
  • Different Fruits: Try using strawberries or blackberries instead of raspberries for a unique twist. You can also mix different berries for a delightful berry fizz!
