Equipment

  • Equipment Needed: Blender, measuring cup, serving glasses, and optional cocktail shaker

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice about 2 limes
  • 1-2 tablespoons agave syrup or honey adjust based on berry sweetness
  • Ice cubes optional, for a thicker texture
  • Lime wedges and salt/sugar for rimming glasses, optional

Instructions

  • Method
  • Prepare Your Glasses:
  • If you want a salted or sugared rim, run a lime wedge around the edge of your serving glasses. Dip the rim into a small plate filled with salt or sugar to coat it. Set aside.
  • Blend the Ingredients:
  • In a blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup. If you prefer a thicker consistency, add a few ice cubes.
  • Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well mixed.
  • Taste and Adjust:
  • Taste the mixture. If you’d like it sweeter, add more agave syrup or honey, and blend again.
  • Serve:
  • Pour the frozen margarita mixture into your prepared glasses. Garnish with lime wedges or fresh berries for an extra touch. Enjoy immediately!
  • Variations
  • Berry Choices: You can customize the berries based on what's available or your personal preference. Blackberries, cranberries, or even peaches can work well.
  • Fruit Flavors: Try adding other frozen fruits like mango or pineapple for a tropical twist.
  • Non-Alcoholic Version: For a family-friendly option, omit the tequila and triple sec, and replace them with sparkling water or lemonade.
