- Method for Creating the Lavender Lemon Drop
- Gather Your Ingredients: Make sure you have all your ingredients ready to go. From my own personal experience, having everything prepped makes the process smoother.
- Prepare the Glass:
- If desired, rim your glass with sugar. To do this, rub a lemon wedge around the rim and then dip it into a plate of granulated sugar.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka (or gin), fresh lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup.
- Add Ice:
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes and seal it tightly.
- Shake It Up:
- Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. You want to mix it well and chill the drink.
- Strain and Serve:
- Strain the mixture into your prepared glass. If you prefer, you can serve it over fresh ice.
- Garnish:
- Garnish with a lemon wheel and, if you have them, sprinkle some edible lavender flowers on top for a lovely touch.
- Variations
- Lavender Lemonade: Replace vodka with sparkling water for a non-alcoholic option.
- Flavored Vodka: Use flavored vodka, like lemon or lavender-infused, for an extra kick.
- Herbal Twist: Substitute gin for vodka for a more herbal flavor profile.
